Founder’s Story
Travis Leavitt
Freedom Builders was born out of experience — not theory.
Travis Leavitt is the owner of two successful automotive repair shops in Northern Utah, generating millions in annual revenue, along with several additional business ventures. But the success people see today didn’t come easily and it was far from an overnight success story.
It came through pressure. Mistakes.
Hard seasons. Long hours.
And moments of doubt.
Like many business owners, Travis started with ambition and work ethic — but quickly realized that effort alone wasn’t enough. Business is hard. It’s isolating. And without the right guidance, it can quietly consume everything.
There came a point where he had to decide how badly he wanted it.
He stepped outside his comfort zone. He invested heavily in coaching, training, books and podcasts. He sought out mentors. He attended conferences. He asked better questions.
He spent tens of thousands of dollars learning what most business owners try to figure out alone.
One of his most influential mentors in particular shaped the majority of what Travis knows about leadership and business today. Beyond systems and profitability, he taught something deeper:
As you become more successful in business and in life, it becomes your responsibility to give back — with your time, your resources, and your knowledge.
He would often say, “One day, I’m going to call on you. Will you answer the call?”
After his mentor’s tragic passing, those words carried a different weight. Travis realized the call wasn’t coming in the way he expected.
It wasn’t a phone call.
It wasn’t a favor.
It was a responsibility.
A call to step up. To lead. To give back.
To share what he had learned.
To help other business owners not only save their businesses, but protect and strengthen their families. Because struggling businesses don’t just impact profit.
They impact marriages.
They impact children.
They impact legacy.
That realization is what led to the creation of Freedom Builders. Because too many business owners try to carry the weight alone. Because one idea, one mentor, or one conversation can change the trajectory of a business — and a life.
Travis built his businesses to create time and financial freedom, to lead well at home, to provide opportunities and to prove that ownership can provide the lifestyle you actually want to live.
Now, he’s committed to helping other business owners in Cache Valley do the same.
In this room, you may arrive as a peer, grow through a mentor, and leave as someone else’s hero.
